Promotions with WordPress Fall 2011 Class
This week just practice learning the WordPress user interface. Write some pages and posts. I recommend waiting until later in the semester to switch to a different WordPress theme–it’s important that you understand what the basic WordPress user interface looks like. The Lynda.com tutorial I liked to last has good basic WordPress training.
This week is your last chance to get caught up before we move on to Photoshop next week for a month If you need help creating a custom email address with Google Apps and importing the email to a gmail account or installing WordPress let me know.

Wptuts+ has good beginner tutorials.
WP101 and WooThemes have good beginner tutorials, but you have to pay for most of them.
The Lynda.com WordPress 3 Essential Training video tutorial series is also a good place to start.

Coercion is a great book. Rushkoff’s videos The Persuaders and The Merchants of Cool are totally awesome.

Buying In is great. Rob Walker used to use WordPress at murketing.com.
