I’ll be using Digging Into Wordpress for about a third of my Promotion Management class next semester.  It’s a great book.  Kind of like two guys spent lots of time scouring the Internet and learning how to design WordPress websites and then put it all together into a book so that you don’t have to spend lots of time scouring the Internet and failing in your attempt to learn how to design websites with WordPress.  It really is amazing how powerful, simple, and customizable WordPress is.
