Introduction to Marketing
I’ve taught Introduction to Marketing several times now, and recently changed how I teach Introduction to Marketing.
In the Spring 2009 I felt like I’d found the best marketing books and videos to make a marketing class interesting and entertaining, but that when marketing students graduate and go to get a job, employers don’t really care what books you’ve read or what videos you’ve watched. I think that employers are looking for proof that you have marketing skills.
So, in the Fall of 2009 I tried to teach a lot more marketing skills, and tried to spend more time in the computer lab helping students learn how to create audio, video, and image content, to manage the digital content with a blog/website, and to distribute the content through twitter, facebook, and email.
