DIY Wine…pause…not?

The Wine Spectator just wrote about Crushpad’s expansion in to Bordeaux:

Is the Crushpad model really DIY (Do It Yourself) as the article’s title tells us?  Or, is it PTDIY (Pay To Do It Yourself)?

If you weren’t paying for Crushpad’s help, could you make wine by yourself the second time around?  I’m all for what Crushpad is doing, but I don’t think it should be labeled DIY when you’re not really doing it yourself.  If PTDIY isn’t the right acronym do describe the Crushpad model then what is?  HIDFY–Have It Done For You?  PDY–Part Done Yourself?  CIMC–Consumer Involved Mass Customization?
